Eagle Interview...Senior Will Barnes

AGE: 21

MAJOR: Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Business and Fitness/Wellness

HIGH SCHOOL: Hillcrest (AL)

PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: Play professionally or go to grad school

HERO: My father and Muhammad Ali

FAVORITE SPORT'S ATHLETE: Michael Jordan

CARMELO or D WADE : Melo

TTU HOOPS: Growing up, who was the most influential person in your life and why?

WILL BARNES: My father, John Barnes, because after college he was on his way to professional basketball overseas, until he was diagnosed with kidney failure. He battled it for ten years until he died when I was 11.

TTU HOOPS: Which part of your game has improved the most this off season?

WILL BARNES: I have worked hard to improve my basketball IQ. I have spent time studying the game as well as other players. I feel like this has helped improve my decision making on the court.

TTU HOOPS: What is one lesson in life have you learned since being at Tennessee Tech?

WILL BARNES: No real goals can be achieved without hard work!

TTU HOOPS: You've worn #21 for three years. Why the switch to #44 for your senior year?

WILL BARNES: My father wore #44 in college and I switched in honor of him!
