Team Effort

Early next year, Tennessee Tech will break ground on the new Strength and Conditioning Center, with a state of the art workout facility for our student athletes. With 24,000 square feet, this complex will contain a weight room and indoor turf area used for speed and conditioning training. Also included are locker rooms and offices for Strength Coach, Chip Pugh and his staff.

To help reach the last financial goal of this project, the entire athletic department volunteered last Thursday night at a Rodney Atkins concert, held in the Hooper Eblen Center. All teams and athletic personnel were asked to help with set up, parking, tickets, etc. Our team headed up Security. After working more than 6 hours, our players were finally sent home. Zach Bailey, Elijah Muhammad, and Charles Newton stepped up huge and decided to stay until everything was done. Those three worked until 2:30 am, helping Director of Facilities, Ben Shannon, finish the clean up! What a great example of leadership displayed by these three young men.
